We're looking for a great J2EE developer. There is an immediate need to complete a complex J2EE system. Further projects require working with mobile devices and participating in the design of distributed mobile systems.
Minimum Requirements
* 5+ years in Java development or equivalent combination of Java experience and other high-level OOP language.
* Bachelor's degree in Software development.
* Curious and eager to learn about mobile technologies.
Key Qualifications
* Knowledge of and experience with web technologies, server and client side.
* You work well with team members.
* Capable of pair programming to learn new systems, diagnose and solve complex problems.
* Working knowledge of source control (Git, Mercurial, Subversion, Perforce or other) and and issue tracking systems.
* Familiarity with Apple's iOS & Mac operating systems is an asset (linux or unix experience is helpful).
Ideal candidate
* Smart and humble - always learning from your colleagues!
* Understanding and appreciation of Javascript's sophistication.
* Self motivated - able to work unsupervised and follow directions.
* Articulate - Eg. capable of distilling complex technical issues into questions that non-technical people can answer.
* Good listener - sometimes this is difficult when you are an expert. Can you do it?
* Good writer - can communicate clearly and effectively with people who have a range of technical expertise.
